I don't know what to do with that? Should I have some other devices there to connect the keyboard to, or what? I don't remember having to do that when it was connected to my older Mac mini, but that was running 10.6 so things were different.Ĭan anyone help? Has my keyboard died, or am I just missing something? I'd like to play now and then and learn at a slow pace, so I really don't want to go and buy a new keyboard since this would be more than enough for me.Most computer professionals recommend updating your Axiom Pro 61 device drivers after major Windows updates. No player that I've tested does absolutely anything. Synthesia does not detect range (it calculates it from lowest and highest note). When I press the actual keys on the keyboard, nothing happens. It detects both of the ports (and even the out) just perfectly. GM Player (a small and simple player that I got years ago, meant to just test and play around) didn't work at all, so I tried Synthesia (yeah, I know, don't sue me). One with in and out and the other with in only. MacOS's MIDI Studio first showed it as name, model and brand with a single Cyrillic symbol, but after I power-cycled it, it is now detected properly as "USB Axiom 61" with two ports. Connected power and USB (it does need the power, it doesn't seem to work via USB-Power), turned it on and reseted it. Got my keyboard from the attic, where it has been waiting for a couple of years now. I just bought the new M1 Mac Mini which comes with Big Sur, which I updated to the latest (11.1 as of now). It's enough and then some for my needs - I'm no pro or anything, I can barely play at all, just happen to like it. I have an older M-Audio Axiom 61 (the first version) MIDI keyboard.
